Preparing Matcha: a ‘how to’ guide.

Matcha/Hojicha Ratio Guide

  • Sift 1 - 2 grams of matcha or hojicha powder.

    Whisked with 50 - 60 ml water at 70-80 degrees celsius.

    Enjoy.

  • Place a handful of ice in your cup and top with approximately 150 ml of filtered water.

    Sift 2 grams of matcha or hojicha powder.

    Whisked with 50 - 60 ml water at 70-80 degrees celsius.

    Pour over ice and gentley stir.

    Adjust depending on personal taste/strength.

  • Sift 2 - 2.5 grams of matcha or hojicha powder.

    Whisked with 40ml water at 70 - 80 degrees celsius.

    Finish with 150 ml of frothy milk of your choice, we recommend a plant-based milk such as oat or almond milk.

    Adjust depending on personal taste/strength.

  • Place a handful of ice in your cup and top with 130 - 160 ml of milk of your choice, we recommend a plant-based milk such as oat or almond milk.

    Sift 2.5 - 3 grams of matcha or hojicha powder.

    Whisked with approximately 40 ml of water at 70 - 80 degrees celsius.

    Pour over ice and gentley stir.

    Adjust depending on personal taste/strength.
